Don Papa celebrates the passion and enthusiasm of the rebel and hero Papa Isio, from the island of Negros in the Philippines, who fought for the island’s independence. Made from molasses, known as “black gold”, it is aged for several years in ex-American Bourbon barrels at the foot of Mount Kanlaon, before being blended to give a rich taste. The final blend brings out the spirit of Don Papa, overflowing with citrus and vanilla aromas on the nose, while full of notes of candied tropical fruit and honey with a long bold finish of dried raisins and charred oak.
