The history of Diplomatico begins in 1959 with the establishment of the distillery at the foot of the Andes in Venezuela. The area was chosen for its proximity to the sugar cane plantations but also the Terepaima National park which provides the clearest waters ensuring the production of great rum. Today the products are exported to more than 50 countries and are among the best rums in the world. A rum, a point of reference for lovers of the genre, ideal for drinking straight. It is distilled in an ancient still with discontinuous operation and matures for up to 12 years in small oak barrels. Attractive aromas of licorice, citrus peels, ripe tropical fruits, with a balanced mouth and a complex aftertaste.
